Dennis Ford has served in Health Care Facilities Engineering for over 30 yrs. He received his degree in Civil Engineering through the Air Force ROTC program and started his career at Eglin AFB Regional Hospital as a Clinical Engineer. While in the Air Force, Dennis served in facility management roles and at Headquarters where he led the development of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) currently used at all military hospitals (DMLSS-FM). Before arriving at Texas Children?s Hospital in Houston, TX (a 3-hospital system with over 6 MIL SF), Dennis served as Program Director of Healthcare Facilities at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) in Galveston, TX, which grew from 2 MIL SF to 4 MIL SF and from a 2-hospital system to a 5-hospital system as new hospitals and clinics were acquired, built and activated. While serving as Program Director of Healthcare Facilities at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) in Galveston, Dennis helped create requirements for a smooth transition from construction to maintenance through the utilization of BIM and CMMS tools.
