Eric Zdankiewicz PE

Eric Zdankiewicz is a licensed Fire Protection Engineer and Fire Protection Systems Inspection, Testing and Maintenance Program Manager at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC). Eric?s interest in the industry began when he was a volunteer firefighter from 2000 through 2005. In that time, he earned multiple certifications from the Connecticut Fire Academy. After graduating with a B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering in 2010 from the University of Maryland, Eric entered civil service with NAVFAC. In 2022, he shifted out of fire protection design and stood up the FPS ITM program with NAVFAC. Outside of civil service, Eric serves as the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) Coastal Virginia Chapter Vice President and is a member of the SFPE national organization. Eric?s career experience also includes internships with both the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in College Park, MD and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, MD.
