Mr. Ryan is serving in his 41st year in public service, having retired in 2017 from a highly decorated 34 year career in the Fire Service. Since commencing work at Augusta University in 2017, he has spearheaded a community wide initiative, #strongaugusta, designed to utilize NFPA 3000 as the framework to make Augusta the safest community in America with regard to community wide Active Shooter Hostile Event Response planning.
