Lori Olson-Arzaga is dedicated to enhancing both the learning and professional environments within educational settings, with a focus on fostering improved health outcomes for all occupants and enhancing academic achievement. With a background in environmental science spanning 37 years, she brings a wealth of expertise to efficiently and effectively address environmental concerns and complaints. In her role as the Director of Environmental Services for one of the largest school districts in the nation, Lori is committed to optimizing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems to not only reduce energy consumption but also create healthier learning environments. She is spearheading initiatives such as the HVAC System and Energy Performance Evaluation, alongside the implementation of an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Sensors Program across the district's schools. This comprehensive approach involves deploying smart thermostat platforms to assess HVAC unit efficiency, evaluating air filtration effectiveness, and implementing strategic replacement plans. Additionally, continuous IAQ monitoring sensors are being installed in classrooms to ensure ongoing air quality improvements.
